On May 21 at 8.30 p.m everyone interested, Warsaw residents and tourists from all over Poland and the world.were invited to Krasińskich Square. On a warm May night, there wias a concert to celebrate the opening of the Palace of the Republic of Poland. After the concert, one was able to visit the entire Palace for the first time in history and see the most valuable treasures of the National Library, from the sentence "Dąbrówka came to Mieszko" from a thousand years ago, Fryderyk Chopin's manuscripts to the manuscripts of "Małgośka" by Agnieszka Osiecka and "Murów" by Jacek Kaczmarski.
For the first time in its long history, dating back to the 17th century, one of the most beautiful palaces in Warsaw will be made available to visitors.
The National Library invites you to the grand opening on May 21 at 8:30 p.m. The event will be accompanied by a ceremonial concert directed by Krzysztof Materna. The song Słowa, composed especially for this occasion by Tadeusz Woźniak, will be performed at Krasińscy Square - on stage you will be able to see Joanna Kulig, Jolanta Majchrzak, Justyna Schneider, Daniel Olbrychski, Marcin Przybylski, Olek Różanek, Tadeusz Woźniak, the Progressive Rock Band led by Marek Radula and Sinfonia Varsovia under the baton of Wojciech Michniewski. The ceremony will be led by Dr. Katarzyna Kasia and Grzegorz Markowski.
After dark, the facade of the Palace will become the background for a multimedia show prepared by Melt Immersive, with music by Wojciech Urbański and the participation of Anna Dymna, Jan Peszek and Wiktor Zborowski.
From May 21, six days a week in the baroque interiors of the Palace, you will be able to see priceless monuments of Polish and world literature, such as the Świętokrzyskie Sermons, the Florian Psalter, the Old Świętokrzyskie Yearbook, the manuscripts of the chronicles of Gallus Anonymus and Wincenty Kadłubek, as well as medieval and Renaissance works by illuminators European, including the famous Sforziada.
A separate place in the permanent exhibition will be occupied by literary manuscripts - the only autograph of a work by Jan Kochanowski, Balladyna by Juliusz Słowacki, Ode to Youth by Adam Mickiewicz and collections of manuscripts by Cyprian Kamil Norwid, Zbigniew Herbert and Czesław Miłosz. It will also include monuments of musical culture, such as the manuscripts of Fryderyk Chopin and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki or the originals of works by Agnieszka Osiecka and Jacek Kaczmarski.
Admission to the exhibition will be free of charge, and the Palace of the Republic of Poland, after its recently completed modernization, will become not only a new tourist attraction on the map of Warsaw, but above all a safe and friendly place where it is worth spending your free time.
