The uniforms, helmets and tanks are on the list
This year, it is planned to sign over 150 contracts for the acquisition of various types of military equipment, said Paweł Bejda, Deputy Minister of National Defence. Purchases are to be continued as the outcomes and recommendations of the audit conducted at the Ministry of Defence.
Polish People's Party (PSL) MP Radosław Lubczyk asked about the planned military purchases in 2024 and their financial and logistical security.
Minister Bejda replied that since 13th of December 2023, several contracts with a multi-year value worth over PLN 30 billion have been concluded. "Already in the first month of government (of the current government coalition), there were 8 contracts worth PLN 19 billion, of which as much as PLN 18 billion will go to Polish arms plants, Polish Armaments Group and other arms entities."
