Record exports of Polish food

70% goes to the EU market

In 2023, Poland achieved record results in the export of agri-food goods, selling abroad products worth in total of EUR 51.8 billion, which translates into PLN 236 billion - the Ministry of Agriculture has informed on the X website.

In that evening's entry, the ministry calculated that the most exported goods are meat and meat products, dairy products, bread and bakery products, eggs, and chocolate and chocolate products. These product categories dominate Polish exports, which emphasizes the diversity and high quality of Polish agri-food production.

Over 70% of agri-food exports go to European Union countries. However, the Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes that exports to other markets are also increasing every year, which proves the growing competitiveness of Polish products in the international arena.

"Integration with the EU and access to the EU market resulted in a significant increase in exports of Polish agri-food trade," we read in the ministry's entry. Thanks to the easier flow of goods, modernization of farms, modernization of agri-food processing and EU investments, Poland is at the forefront of Europe in many production sectors.

The Ministry emphasizes that Polish exports are no longer limited only to European Union countries. Thanks to the growing quality and competitiveness of Polish products, exports to non-EU markets are also increasing, which further strengthens Poland's position on the global agri-food market.
