An excellent rating for the capital of Greater Poland
The international Fitch Ratings agency confirmed Poznań's rating at A- with a stable forecast, the Poznań city hall announced on Saturday. This is the highest possible rating it can give to Polish local governments - equal to the country's creditworthiness rating.
The Poznań city hall announced that the agency confirmed Poznań's international long-term ratings for debt in foreign and domestic currency at the level of A- with a stable forecast. The confirmation of the ratings reflects Fitch's expectation that Poznań's financial performance will remain stable in 2024-2028.
The agency also pointed out that Poznań is the second wealthiest city in Poland, with a local economy dominated by services and a low unemployment rate.
The Poznań city hall reminded that the main task of the city's rating is to inform current and future investors about its credibility and solvency. Having a creditworthiness assessment enables easier and wider access to financial markets and allows you to obtain external capital on more favorable terms.
