After the agreement is signed, work will begin on the conceptual design, which will include numerous analyses and hydrogeological and geological-engineering documentation.
Pre-design work is also to answer questions regarding the possibility of introducing autonomous vehicles and a platform door system at stations.
All work is to be completed within 38 months.
The M4 line will be the longest metro line in Warsaw, connecting Tarchomin with Wilanów. Its length will be 26 kilometers, and there will be 23 stations on the route. Eight stops will be equipped with holding track chambers. The new section will also include a technical and parking station and a new central dispatch office.
