The Summer Theatre in Szczecin is one of the largest amphitheatres in Poland (over 2.7 thousand seats), also the largest stage in Szczecin - with an area of 670 m². On June 10, 2020, a thorough reconstruction of the Summer Theatre began. The official opening of the facility took place on July 29, 2022. The investment cost exceeds PLN 33 million gross.

In 2000, the stage was renovated and the roofing was completed. In the following years, new seats appeared in the auditorium, the stage and the background for artists were modernized, as well as the roof structure over the stage and auditorium. The illumination of the Theatre won the main prize in the 12th edition of the competition for the Best Illuminated Commune and City in 2009.
On June 13, 2012, the Helena Majdaniec Summer Theatre hosted the Great Gala of Polish Song on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Young Talents Festival, during which contemporary performers recalled songs presented half a century earlier by Karin Stanek, Helena Majdaniec, Kasia Sobczyk, Czesław Niemen, Tadeusz Nalepa, Krzysztof Klenczon. The contemporary Summer Theater also hosts, among others, Tenor tournaments and performances by the Szczecin Castle Opera. In the summer season of 2012, over 2 thousand people viewers listened to the operetta "Die Fledermaus" by Johann Strauss.
On the opening day of the amphitheater, there was also a ceremony of unveiling a monument to the patron of the facility - Helena Majdaniec, located nearby. The author of the sculpture is Dorota Dziekiewicz-Pilich.
