The Grodziec Cement Plant in Będzin could soon become a center of culture, art and entertainment. A tender for the executive design of the entire undertaking has just been announced.
In February of this year, the mayor of Będzin, Łukasz Komoniewski, announced that he had submitted an application for EU funds in the amount of PLN 94 million for the revitalization of the cement plant. The plan is to transform the historic building into the Municipal Center for Culture and Animation, which will house an outdoor cinema, a theater hall, a dance and gymnastics hall, a library with a reading room and a restaurant. The second stage is to open the Museum of Industry and a conference room.
