LOT Polish Airlines will not restore winter connections to Beijing's Daxing airport, which opened just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, LOT will focus on operating three flights a week to Beijing's Capital Airport, competing on this route with Air China, which uses Airbus A330.

According to the "rynek-lotniczy" portal, the decision not to restore flights to Daxing is surprising, especially in the context of the lifting of pandemic restrictions in China and the return of Chinese tourists to travel. Nevertheless, this decision is justified because Beijing subsidizes Chinese airlines, which makes it difficult for European carriers to compete. LOT, like other airlines from Europe and the USA, cannot compete in terms of prices with Chinese carriers, which offer much more favorable prices on many routes.
