The following were included on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage:
Wooden toy making in the Łączna-Ostojów center - the ability to produce wooden toys in this area dates back to the second half of the 19th century. In the interwar period, toys gained popularity at fairs, and their production became more and more diversified, including such forms as rocking horses, cradles and wheelbarrows. During World War II, new designs appeared - birds and butterflies moving their wings, and carousels with rotating figures. The Ostojów-Łączna toy center is distinguished by its specific style of great cultural and historical importance for the region.
Kurpie oklejanka from the Biała Forest - a tradition of decorating eggs with rush cores and colorful yarn. The main decorative material is flexible rush fiber (so-called soul), collected in autumn in forest meadows. The yarn coming from the housewives' worn-out dresses or aprons adds a colorful accent to the wraps. Thanks to it, the stickers feature traditional Kurpie colors: red, white, black and green.
The tradition of making Easter palms in Kurpie Puszcza Zielona - a unique artistic character gives them a realistic representation of nature. Flowers are arranged in layers, according to the natural order of flowering, avoiding mixing different species on one level. Traditional palm trees must include green (hope), purple (waiting for goodness), red (love), yellow (sun), pink (innocence and hope), blue (strength and sky) and white (innocence, purity and life without sin). Impressive palm trees are often created by families or entire communities. They reach a height of 1 to 8 meters.
Warsaw Walking Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra - a tradition of walking pilgrimage from Warsaw to Jasna Góra, which dates back to the 18th century. Pilgrimages became popular during the difficult times of the gradual loss of independence of the Republic of Poland in the 18th century, and during the partitions it became a symbol of fidelity and gratitude to Our Lady of Częstochowa.
The bows of the feretrons during pilgrimages to Kalwaria Wejherowska - precisely made by groups of men and women of the Obrazniks - are not only an expression of worship to God, but also show the unity and identity of the Kashubian community. The ceremonial nature of the ritual is emphasized by the costumes of the women of the Marathon, decorated with Kashubian embroidery, and by the music of the orchestra.
In addition, the "Palma Kurpiowska" competition in Łyse was entered into the National Register of Good Practices in the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Palm waving is one of the symbols of Kurpie culture, and the custom of organizing the competition, which has been going on for over 50 years, is considered one of the most important socio-cultural events in the region. Every year on Palm Sunday, large crowds of tourists come to Łyse to admire the beautiful forest palm trees, up to 5 m high.
